IWhat Grantifex is
A hosted grant-portal platform for organisations that distribute money.
An organisation sets up its own grant portal on Grantifex, publishes its funding programmes there — so-called Calls —, receives applications, has them reviewed, makes decisions and distributes the money. Each customer gets its own, isolated instance under its own domain. No shared database. No multi-tenant risks.
Default is <slug>.grantifex.com. Custom domain included from the mid tier.
Technically, Grantifex is a TYPO3 CMS with a purpose-built extension. From that follows more than an application form: a complete portal with content management, multilingual support, an about page, FAQ, press section — all in the same system. Whatever a customer wants extended, we build on contract — and then give it to all Grantifex instances.

VOpen source as the foundation
The grants extension is released under AGPL-3.0-or-later. Freely auditable, verifiable, forkable, self-hostable.
AGPLv3 protects the public. Anyone who takes the code, modifies it and offers it as a SaaS service must publish their modifications. Improvements flow back into the community. No quiet head start for corporations.
Self-hosting costs time, expertise and maintenance. Grantifex handles provisioning, hosting, updates and support — for a transparent fixed price. Those with the technical skills host it themselves. Both are legitimate. Both have our respect.
Public bodies and EU consortia are in some cases required to favour open-source solutions — see Public Money, Public Code and the EU Open Source Strategy. That's a concrete procurement advantage, not an ideological add-on.
VIPortal, not form
That is the real difference — not the CMS underneath, but what you can do with it.

Complete grant portal
Technical note, without marketing gloss: Grantifex is a TYPO3 extension called grants. From that follows the extensibility. Those who want to know more will find the technical details in the documentation — and soon in the open repository.
VIIWhat runs. What comes.
This section shows both: what runs in production today — and what is honestly on the roadmap. Without wishful thinking.

VIIIWorkshop
Grantifex grew out of a concrete customer need — not out of a pitch idea.
We have been building with TYPO3 for more than a decade, have supported funding areas for foundations technically and, at the point where every project reused the same building blocks, turned that into a standalone platform. Grantifex is that platform.
On the phone you do not talk to a sales team, but to the people who build, operate and also patch the software at night when a security advisory comes in. That is both an advantage and a disadvantage — and you should know which of the two you are buying today.
